Redwood Living, Inc. returns to its roots with newest neighborhood in Akron-Canton
Independence, Ohio – April 27, 2021 – Thirty years after opening its first groundbreaking apartment neighborhood in the Akron-Canton area, Redwood Living, Inc. is under construction with its latest neighborhood, Redwood North Canton.
The new neighborhood brings 129 new apartment homes and represents the 11th apartment neighborhood in the Akron-Canton area for Redwood, owner and developer of single-story apartment homes.
Residents can begin moving into Redwood North Canton later this summer.
“While we’ve expanded significantly across Ohio, and into Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, North Carolina and South Carolina, our original neighborhood was built in Akron in 1991. We’ve been growing in the Akron-Canton area for decades and we are thrilled to continue to build here,” said David Conwill, CEO of Redwood.

The neighborhood will offer eight different floor plans in Redwood’s signature design, which feels more like a single-family home thanks to the single-story floor plans, attached garages and private entrances with dedicated street addresses. Other enhanced amenities include personal patios, upgraded finishes and features, pet-friendly accommodations and a welcoming neighborhood environment. Additional features include:

Redwood North Canton will be located on Mount Pleasant Street NW, between Pittsburg Avenue and Burkley Road, conveniently near I-77 and the Akron-Canton Airport. Monthly rent will start at $1,549.
The neighborhood will add 48 more apartment homes in its second phase later this year.
