First responders, active military, veterans find special “welcome home” from Redwood Living, Inc.

Independence, Ohio – December 1, 2020 – Redwood Living Inc. (Redwood) truly knows how to roll out the welcome mat for first responders, active military personnel, veterans and others who will benefit from a best-in-class savings program.

The Independence-based developer and owner of single-story apartment homes invites those who protect, serve and care for our communities to take advantage of special offerings when renting a new apartment home.

“Our communities are filled with heroes, and we want to show our appreciation from the day they first walk through our doors,” said Melissa Freed, director of marketing at Redwood.

“We’ve put together an exceptional package of benefits to ensure they know we will value them as residents of Redwood neighborhoods as much as we value their service to the world.”

For those who serve in police and fire departments, along with active military members who sign at least a six-month lease, Redwood is offering waived administrative, application and up-front pet fees, as well as a ##ROW_CONTENT## security deposit and $50 off rent each month.

In addition, Redwood will waive the same fees and offer a ##ROW_CONTENT## security deposit to military veterans and the following qualifying residents:

  • Employed at a preferred employer: Recognized employers with an established relationship with Redwood and in good standing are eligible; must sign at least a six-month lease.
  • Returning Residents: Former Redwood residents who choose to return and sign at least a six-month lease.
  • Vendors: Must be in good standing and sign at least a six-month lease.

Redwood also offers a resident referral program. Current residents who refer someone who signs at least a six-month lease in their neighborhood or a sister neighborhood will receive a $500 credit to their resident ledger.

“In Redwood’s relentless pursuit to deliver the best possible rental experience, we are proud to offer such a robust incentive program for our current and future residents,” Freed said. “These incentives illustrate our commitment to the community and creating neighborhoods that promote easy, carefree living.

Additionally, in the midst of the pandemic, Redwood unveiled a new program – The Redwood Guarantee. Should a new resident change his/her mind about living in their new Redwood apartment, that resident will have 30 days to break the lease – no questions asked. Since neighborhoods have been conducting prospect tours via video chat since mid-March, The Redwood Guarantee helps provide some peace of mind to new residents.

Redwood owns and manages more than 12,000 apartment homes in nearly 100 neighborhoods throughout Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, North Carolina and South Carolina.
